For more than two decades, the Jeep brand has dominated the off-road segment with the Wrangler. This iconic, removable-roof SUV blends capability, style, and unapologetic ruggedness once at an attainable price point. The current generation Wrangler, known as the JL platform, debuted in 2018 and is now approaching the final years of its lifecycle.

Over the past several years, competition has intensified, most notably with Ford’s revival of the Bronco. Despite the increased pressure, Wrangler sales have remained strong and continue to lead the segment. Jeep has always excelled at keeping the Wrangler fresh through thoughtful details and special touches—red tow hooks on the Rubicon, upscale Sahara trims, and heritage-inspired accents that turn otherwise simple features into something special.
As the Wrangler nears the end of this generation, Jeep has leaned into that strength by introducing unique, limited packages designed to maintain excitement and customer interest through the final years of production.
For 2026, Jeep launched a year-long “12 4 12” celebration honoring 85 years of off-road leadership. The campaign kicked off in November with the notable move of the V8-powered Wrangler 392 into the lower Moab trim. December continues that momentum with the introduction of the Wrangler Whitecap Edition.

The Whitecap Edition is a heritage-inspired package featuring a bright white painted hardtop and matching white grille, creating a striking two-tone appearance. This package is available exclusively on the Wrangler Sahara and Rubicon trims, with an MSRP of just $495 on top of the base trim price.
Typically, appearance packages with unique paint or badging start closer to the $1,500–$2,000 range, but Jeep has gone out of its way to keep the Whitecap Edition affordable—an especially smart move as interest rates rise and vehicle prices continue to climb. By focusing on simple yet distinctive design elements, Jeep delivers something fresh without pushing pricing out of reach.
Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf summed it up best, stating that the Whitecap Edition “honors Jeep brand heritage while introducing a striking two-tone look that turns heads on any trail.”
We agree. Jeep has taken what could be viewed as a downside—the end of a vehicle’s lifecycle—and turned it into a positive. The combination of unique exterior colors paired with white trim adds personality, fun, and visual punch to an already iconic platform.
The Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition is available now on Sahara and Rubicon models and can be ordered immediately
