Living in Tennessee, car shows are part of the culture—especially in Pigeon Forge, where events roll through town nearly every weekend. So it was only a matter of time before the Ford Bronco got its own spotlight. For the past two years, the team behind the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion has brought Bronco fans their own showcase: the Great Smoky Mountain Stampede.

Now in its third year, the Stampede has become a stage for aftermarket brands to connect directly with the Bronco community. This year’s lineup of vendors didn’t disappoint. Big names like Rough Country, Mountains 2 Metal, IAG Off-Road, Turn Off-Road, RealTruck, Hankook Tires, and KC HiLiTES showed up strong—backing Bronco owners and fueling aftermarket momentum.
Where Was Everybody?
One of the first things we noticed this year was how smoothly the show itself ran. The LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge continues to be a fantastic venue: clean, modern, with plenty of parking and amenities. Everything about the setup suggested a winning weekend. But one thing was hard to ignore—the crowds were thinner than expected.
Friday brought steady sales for vendors, with plenty of genuine engagement from attendees walking the show floor. But overall traffic felt lower compared to previous years. Was it the economy? Limited promotion? Or simply a case of tough timing?

Saturday was expected to bring the big wave of visitors, especially those traveling in from outside Tennessee. And while there was definitely more activity outside around the display lots, the indoor vendor hall was surprisingly quiet. By mid-afternoon, it felt more like a ghost town than a bustling show floor—despite the sweltering asphalt temps that might’ve kept folks outdoors.
Opportunities to Grow
To be clear, none of this means the Stampede isn’t a success. Far from it—the event has all the right ingredients. Admission remains reasonable at just $15, the logistics are well-managed, and the organizers clearly care about building something for the Bronco community. For a third-year event, that’s impressive.
The opportunity lies in promotion and timing. With a stronger marketing push and perhaps a more strategic date, this event could easily become a must-attend gathering for Bronco enthusiasts nationwide. The vendors are invested, the location is ideal, and the Bronco community is ready for a showcase like this in the Smokies.

Looking Ahead
The Great Smoky Mountain Stampede has already laid the groundwork. The vendors are behind it. The community wants it. And the organizers have proven they can pull it off. With just a few tweaks, year four could be the breakthrough moment that transforms this into one of the premier Bronco events in the country.
