Jeep is all about showcasing their heritage and off-roading capabilities, and it’s no surprise they’re expanding their lineup to include the trail-rated, all-electric 2026 Jeep Recon. But can it go the distance?

Heritage Meets Welcome to the New Age
Starting at $65,000, this EV off-roader has about a 250-mile range, 650 horsepower, can go 0-60 MPH in 3.6 seconds, and can charge 5-80% in 28 minutes. At first glance, it looks boxy and has its own quirky lights upfront, while it holds to the true Jeep spirit with its signature 7-slot grille and overall exterior ruggedness. Just like the Jeep life you know and love, you can remove the doors and windows, while power opening the top with Sky One-Touch.

The Open-Air Concept is More than an Aesthetic: It’s a Lifestyle
Feel free to explore the world no matter the conditions, and don’t worry about packing light: there’s 30.3 cubic feet of space behind the second row and 65.9 cubic feet when the second-row seats are folded. That’s a total of 111.3 cubic feet of interior volume space! If you fold the second row down, it will just be a couple’s or dynamic duo drive, instead of the whole family. In this developing age of electric vehicles, you need some time to explore and connect in the great outdoors in a new way.

Although it is not a mid or full-size SUV, it does look like it is primarily geared towards families who want to take an off-road adventure and go full EV. And if you do opt for the whole crew to tag along, rest assured there’s a roof rack for additional storage and an app to help you find charging to plan your route.

It has the Looks and Modes for the Adventure You Seek
Here are the available colors for your Jeep Recon: ’41, Copper Shino, Ceramic Gray, Red Hot, Silver Zynith, Hydro Blue, Bright White, Diamond Black and Joose. Ready for whatever the trail and weather has planned, there are selec-terrain traction management selections based on your drive: sport, sand, rock, snow, and auto.
Would you consider this EV for off-roading? Or do you prefer hybrid, PHEV, or gas powered only? We’re anticipating its handling and couldn’t be more excited to test its trail capabilities. Stay tuned for its release early 2026, and we’ll see you on the trail.
